Critical Water Infrastructure for the Community
Project construction included a wet well and intake, pumping station, and water transmission network that serves the Nasho commercial irrigation project. Remote Group was the Main Contractor and completed the project in twenty-four months.
The intake brings lake water through two large trash screens through baffles in the wet well, where it is then pumped to the irrigation project serving over 1,200 hectares.
Project Highlights
Pump station has a capacity of 120,000 m3 per day
There are five low-pressure pumps and seven high-pressure pumps
Water transmission network of 55 km up to 630mm (24-inch)
Irrigation project has 63 center pivots
Everything is capable of being powered for short periods by solar plus battery backup
